Amsterdam trip 2013
Amsterdam is the Netherlands capital known for its artistic
heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades,
legacies of the city’s 17th century golden age. Its museum district
houses the Van Gogh museum, works by Rambrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum,
and modern art at the Stadelijk. Cycling
is the key to to the City’s character
and there are numerous bike paths.
In June 2013, I along with my family took a trip to
Amsterdam. We took the emirates flight from Kuwait at 3 am in the morning and
reached Dubai at 5.30 am in the morning. We had 2 hours transit in Dubai and we
took the connecting flight to Amsterdam at 7.30 am in the morning. We reached
Amsterdam at 12.30 pm at noon. When we were on our way to the hotel, dad told
us that all the company partners go for work by cycle. . In Amsterdam, We
stayed in Radisson blu hotel. After our check inn, we cruised the Amsterdam
canal which was an hours ride. We saw so many houses near the canal banks. We
saw the Amsterdam canal bridge. Then
next day in the morning, we did the Van Gogh museum and we saw so many types of
diffferent paintings of Van Gogh. After that, we did the Amsterdam museum and
we saw the miniature of Amsterdam.
The next day, we visited Victoria Market in Amsterdam and
then after that we visited the Amsterdam cafe for a cup of coffee and i ordered
a caffe latte. It was piping hot and amazing. After that i did the rijksmuseum.
From there we took the tram to the heinikan experience When we entered the heinikan,
we were given a wrist band. Without the wrist band, you cant enter the
heinikan. Then we did the simulator
ride. Inside, the simulator ride, there was a tv screen with a man inside
explaining about heinikan and the thing started shaking. Then we felt like we
were jumping inside the water and the next moment, we were bottled and capped.
So, like that we saw how the heinikan beer were made. After that we got outside
the simulator. Then we explored the heinikan brewery and we saw couple of large
barrels in which they make the beer,
Then they guided us to the heiniken bar, where they give samples of beer
in a mug. All of us bought a mug also
drilled in our names. These are my
memories of Amsterdam trip....
