Caesars is a Chinese and Continental restaurant located in Kuwait city. We reached there at around 9 30 pm. When we reach there, the manager Rudolf came and greeted me warmly. We know him since a long time. I noticed that the interiors had been given the touch of a Chinese feel with Chinese lanterns and letters and congratulated him. I also noticed a kind of nice picture of China hung on the wall. The lighing was brighter than before and softly lit. We were escorted to our table in a few minutes. Almost all the tables were taken.
The table layout was neat and clean but the napkin was missing. But it did have a cutlery laid out. The seating was very comfortable as usual as the furniture was the same.
The waiter came and asked us if we wanted bread, their usual starter and we asked for the toast. A little later he came and apologized saying that it was over. Not quite a Chinese starter i know! We protested as that was one item here that we liked a lot. Rudolf came to our rescue and got us a few. We loved the toast and butter, but believe me, it tastes amazingly better than the ones at home or anywhere else! In fact there is also naan on the menu. We are told that the Arab customers love it with soup. The waiters were very friendly towards us and they were dressed in black. For the soup we ordered the lung fung soup. It is a thick soup with egg white, minced chicken and soya sauce. That was nice, hot and fresh. For the main course we ordered mixed fried rice and mixed grilled sizzlers. The sizzlers had thin strips of beef and chicken mixed with sausages, french fries and mixed vegetables (carrots. peas, cabbage and beans etc). It also even had fried eggs served on top. And it was served sizzling. The sizzler was excellent. The mixed fried rice had chicken, beef, prawns and egg. The taste was nice and the rice was cooked just right. I could see that the food was freshly prepared and sure enough they tasted fresh too. There are other items here that we order that are quite good like prawn salad, schezwan chicken and noodles. The menu has many continental dishes. But in all these years, I have never tried any of them except the sizzlers. This is because we stick to the items we like the best after trying many of the items. The food is not expensive and our meal for 2 was just below 10 KD.

ReplyDeleteHave been there only once a loooong time ago! You have tempted me to go again!
ReplyDeleteNice write up . Felt as if I was also with u in Caesars .
ReplyDeleteMix Sizzlers is one of my favorites too but I like the mixed Sizzlers in pepper sauce at Avanti palace better than both Caesars and oriental . Incidentally all 3 are Mangalore based restaurants and as u said always stick to mixed sizzlers when in any of the above 3 .
Keep writing Sandeep
