DESERT THOUGHTS

Today, in the evening I walked till the bridge steps of my home in Madapad (North Parur, Kerala).  On the way I noticed 2 mynas. Then I climbed the bridge steps and stood on top and watched the waters flow through those streams. Then I walked down the steps thinking that no other house would have a bridge steps like this.

This picture was taken in Kuwait during the invasion time. At that time I was maybe 3 or 4 years old. I did my nursery in National Evangelical church of Kuwait. Those are my memories of childhood.

Today I was sitting and having my tea in the evening and then suddenly I noticed a rainbow outside my apartment. I felt that it’s very rare to see it out.

French toast is located in Kacheripady, Chittoor road. I reached there   today for lunch by around 2 pm. The place was very quiet and also neat and clean.   When i entered i noticed that a lot of pictures of their cuisine were hung on the wall. On their menu, they had pastas, pancakes, sandwiches and eggs. I noticed that they didnt have burgers. I ordered an egg white omellete filled with onions and capsicum. They bought it with 2 slices of bread that actually looked like garlic bread. After that i ordered a cup of americano coffee with milk on the side. They bought it in a glass cup. Overall experience was good. And i complimented the waiters for the place and food. And they happily said thank you. French toast is an 8 year old coffee shop built in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi. Today I reached there by around 11 am for a cup of tea. I ordered the English breakfast tea.  I noticed that they bring a cup of warm water along with a tea bag in a packet.  Overall experience was good. Taj Malabar hotel is an 84 year old hotel in Kochi. It was originally known as Willingdon hotel way back in the mid 30's and then Malabar hotel.  I celebrated my first birthday here when it was just Malabar hotel and not part of Taj On the 25th of December, I went there with my family for a Christmas buffet lunch. We reached there by around 1 pm. And we did not have a reservation. Luckily, they got us tables on the lawn outside. There was a wide spread of starters including roast pork, gnocchis pasta and green pasta. I chose the roast pork, gnocchis pasta and the green pasta. It was very tasty.  I liked their roast pork and their pastas coz that was the best. I had their oysters for the first time. It was good and we ordered some more of it For the soup, they had the chicken soup and the vegetable soup. Spring restaurant is located on the 1st floor of avenue center in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi. We reached there for new years eve by around 10 pm. The place was very crowded and noisy, coz there was another new year party going on downstairs. Then we caught the lift and went to the restaurant. We had to wait there for a few minutes. Then they escorted us to the table. We actually took a round table. It was nicely laid out with a cutlery and a napkin. Then they came and took our orders for drinks. It was a buffet dinner.  So we had to pay for the dinner, before entering the restaurant.  And they didn't have any starters. They only had salads, main course and desserts. I didn't take the salads as I am allergic to cold food. From the buffet, I took the noodles, stir fried beef and the mushrooms. They were amazing. For the dessert, there were pastries, cakes and carrot halwa. I had half a carrot halwa. I didn't eat the full thing coz of my health issues. After dinner, we sat...
